The club executive reviews the transfer market moves
Valencia CF held a meeting with representatives of CD Castellón this week, with the aim of exploring ways of collaborating in the centenary events that the latter team are commemorating in 2022.

Club president Anil Murthy participated in the meeting, joined by Vicente Montesinos, president of CD Castellón, Fernando Gómez Colomer, sporting director of CD Castellón, Enrique Mulet, director of the Fundació Albinegra, and Javier Heredia, the foundation's patron.
At the meeting, CD Castellón representatives presented some possible initiatives to be undertaken in collaboration with Valencia CF and sent the club a formal invitation to participate.
Valencia CF maintain a longstanding relationship with CD Castellón, both on a sporting and social level. Nowadays, Valencia CF’s loanees like Vicente Esquerdo and Kevin Sibille are members of the CD Castellon squad.
CD Castellón is a historic club of the region and since its foundation bears the name of Castellón de La Plana, all around Spain. They are currently in Primera División RFEF (the third tier of Spanish football), but they have competed in Primera and Segunda División (second tier and top flight of Spanish football) in LaLiga throughout their history.
Players like Vicente del Bosque, Pichi Alonso, Robert Fernández, Gaizka Mendieta, Fernando Gómez or Valencia CF’s ambassador, Ricardo Arias have played in the CD Castellón ranks.
